We’ve got two studios where we record: Turtleshell and Bad Cat Studios. To see us write and record songs we discuss in the forums as well as to chat with us while we work:
1. Join us on Facebook and collaborate with us.
2. Follow us on Twitter as we’ll be announcing when we’re online
3. Subscribe to the webcam feed.
This is a feed of our main recording studio. Actually, we’re pulling 3 webcams together for this one: one pointed at the main room in the studio, one in the control room, and one pulling a direct feed from the computer and recording software that we use. Seeing what we’re doing with the software is key to understanding how and why we record the way we do.
TurtleShell Chat:
This is the feed from inside the main studio. More specifically, it’s a webcam pointed at Johnny, our drummer, who is fascinating to watch as he records. And, when we’re recording guitars, we turn it and capture the other side of the main room.
This is our second studio located downtown Chicago. More specifically, in Tom, our guitarist’s condo. This is where a lot of the mixing and mastering takes place as Tom’s the guy “with the ear”. There’s two webcams here: one in the studio and the other pulling the feed from the computer and recording software we use. That way you can see how we produce all the music before it’s released.
