The year is 1993. Grunge rules the airwaves. But one geeky band of college students is determined to bust out of their garage and tour the world.
Unfortunately, their biggest enemy to achieving their dreams is themselves…
The episodic comic takes place at the time and place as ’93 (93Comic.com), which is set in the year 1993 (August 14th, 1993 to be exact). The band rents and rehearses in a garage next door to Johnson, Scott, and Matt’s apartment located at Iowa University (known as IoU) at a small college town of University City, or UniCity as the locals call it. Two band members — Chip and Dave — rent out the apartment above the garage.
BT publishes every Monday and then — starting March 2025 — every Wednesday and Friday.

The Continuing Adventures of Beatnik Turtle begins over at 93Comic.com where Matt Parker gets Beatnik Turtle to play at Johnson’s Bar on opening night.
However, there’s no stage.
Then, a mime disrupts everything, causing chaos, and resulting in Matt not telling the band where they should set up.
So the band heads back to grab Matt which is where The Continuing Adventures of Beatnik Turtle begins…
